The ModMod Madhouse is a family beach cabin reimagined. Easygoing
seaside living is elevated through a renovation focused on fine
detail, colour and materials. The architecture is inspired by the
house’s heritage and its owner’s collections. The house is small,
intentionally, keeping a light footprint on the seashore.
We preserved the original house, opening it through the kitchen to
the addition which contains atrium and master suite. Color, materials,
and KERF millwork lace together new and old. Board form concrete
bridges original and new on the exterior, lending elegant structural
support to addition and garage.
